In this webinar, we will shortly introduce you to the company TePe – our history, values and goals and our focus on sustainability. Further, we will look at the association between oral hygiene and periodontitis as well as the importance of educating interventions. Research shows that poor oral hygiene increases the risk of periodontitis by five-fold, compared with good oral hygiene. Studies also show that oral-health educating interventions improves gingival health, reduces plaque levels and has a positive effect on factors such as knowledge, self-efficacy and oral health behaviour. Dental professionals should focus on paying more attention to instruction and repetitious demonstrations and empowering their patients.
